Chamber of Commerce Job Opening: Administrative Assistant : 1. Acts as receptionist for Chamber office. 2. Maintains updated community and chamber information files, demographic and data records. Maintains and organizes Chamber folders. 3. Maintains updated membership database information, contact information, new member’s packets and mailing labels, etc. 4. Maintains financial and tax records accurately and timely through QuickBooks. Is responsible for accounts payable and payroll 5. Assumes responsibility for the Chamber Daily Breeze Advertising Certificates. 6. Assumes responsibility for invoicing Chamber members for dues and Chamber events. 7. Help maintain our Facebook, Twitter, Electronic Message Board and ensure our web site is up to date. 8. Works at Chamber functions as needed. 9. Assists Executive Director in all business and organizational functions. 10. Prepare and conduct bulk mailings as needed. 11. Keeps inventory of necessary office supplies and orders when necessary. Keeps office clean and presentable to public. 12. The nature of the business conducted in this office requires that the staff members understand and agree to keep certain information confidential. 12. Other duties as assigned. This is a temporary part-time position with regular hours from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday (20 hours) and requires additional morning and weekend hours for events. In addition to the meetings there will be 2 – 3 field assignments and at least one project that must be completed for graduation.
